1.) How 1 North Keeps You Safe

Secure Communications Only
We will never request sensitive information from you via text or email.

Passphrase Security Option
With the rise of fraudulent phone scams, we offer the option to select a security passphrase. You can request this passphrase when speaking with us to confirm authenticity.

Call-Back Verification
If we receive a suspicious call claiming to be from a client, we will hang up and call the number we have on file. We encourage you to do the same—if you get a call claiming to be from 1 North and something feels off, hang up and call our main office line directly. (410.975.0099)

No account changes or transactions will occur without proper verification and/or client signatures.

3.) How You Can Stay Safe Online

Verify Unexpected Requests
If you receive an unexpected email, text, or call requesting information, always verify its legitimacy by contacting our office directly.

Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Always enable MFA on all financial and sensitive accounts for an added layer of protection. If you need any guidance setting MFA up we are happy to help.

Monitor Your Accounts Regularly
Stay vigilant by frequently reviewing your financial accounts for any unauthorized transactions.

Beware of Phishing Scams
Always double-check email addresses and avoid clicking on links from unsolicited messages. If in doubt, call us directly.
